Acorns Children’s Hospice – Memorial Day

Proposed by Rachel Cranston

A donation of € 3,000

Established in 1988, Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust is a registered charity providing care, support, fun and laughter for children with life limiting or life threatening conditions and their families, across the heart of England. The children and young people that they help are not expected to reach adulthood and require specialist care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In the last year, Acorns has supported over 800 children and more than 1.030 families. In their 3 hospices, they provide tailored nursing care for each child including short breaks, emergency and end of life care.

Every 2 years, families of the bereaved children during the past 2 years can have a special day to celebrate their children. This is a very special day that means a lot to the families.
