Acorns Children’s Hospice – Memorial stream

Proposed by Leah Fisher

A donation of € 1,500

Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust provides care, support, fun and laughter for children with life limiting or life threatening conditions and their families, across the heart of England. The children and young people that they help are not expected to reach adulthood and require specialist care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Therapeutically, the hospice gardens are a hugely important part of the care Acorns provides. They offer a quiet sanctuary and an opportunity for families to spend quality time together. The gardens include a large rear garden, an allotment, a memorial garden and a quiet garden using thoughtful planting schemes to create a sense of peace and tranquillity. The hospice wants to add a memorial stream to their grounds. The stream will pass through the garden where families can take time to sit and remember there children who have passed away.
