Cherut Belgium supports women who have been forced into prostitution on their way to freedom, regaining hope and living free of exploitation. It does this through social work, training and empowerment in various cities, because women in such situations are also entitled to a safe and happy existence outside prostitution and human trafficking. This organisation makes a great difference to the lives of women and their children who otherwise would be unable to escape their desperate circumstances of exploitation and poverty.
Cherut has recently started offering training courses in small groups with the aim of enabling participants to grow in self-reliance and self-confidence and increase their knowledge and skills. These courses help them discover their own strengths, interests and opportunities and offer them a new perspective. In order to facilitate these courses for everyone, they need materials such as laptops, digiboards etc. The support of the Fund enables these women to expand their knowledge and skills and broaden their world. As a result, they become stronger and gain opportunities to break the cycle of poverty and abuse, to thrive and to build a life free of exploitation.
