Duchenne Parent Project

Proposed by Elien Labis

A donation of € 2,000

The parent organisation Duchenne Parent Project carries out research into a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy as well as providing support to parents with children who have Duchenne. It is mainly boys who suffer from Duchenne. The genetic disease is characterised by a slow loss of muscle tissue and strength. Promising research is currently going on, but there is still no medicine to cure Duchenne. A donation from the Alpro Social Fund would provide the Duchenne Parent Project with extra opportunities to continue their research into a cure for this disease.
