Vormingscentrum Aura coaches youths in part-time secondary education based on a Personal Development Plan. They help motivate youths who find it difficult to adapt to the school environment. VC Aura is requesting support from the Alpro Social Fund for equitherapy. Through their ‘Take The Reins’ project, they want to encourage the youths to further develop various skills. Contact with horses has many positive effects on the youths, in particular those with behavioural and emotional problems. Fear of failure, communication difficulties and independence are just a few examples of where equitherapy can provide added value.
