Jongerenzorg vzw – Creation of an outdoor play area

Proposed by Malfait Eef

A donation of € 4,000

Jongerenzorg vzw (non-profit) is a Special Youth Care organisation that provides services tailored to young people. They want people to feel happy and valued by society. To this end, the organisation offers comprehensive guidance and support to families, children and young people in problematic living situations. They use a number of locations for this (the 'Ten Dries' home, the 'Aventurijn' daycare centre and the Jade home counselling service).

Volunteering is extremely important to the organisation. Volunteers come to chat, walk, craft and cook with the young people and, above all, to bring some normality into their lives. Something that would really contribute towards this would be an outdoor play area (trampoline, climbing frame, and sandpit) for the residential groups of vzw Jongerenzorg. The support of the Danone Social Fund will go towards buying equipment. Because every child deserves to be able to enjoy being outside (in a safe way) and let off steam in order to channel their emotions, energy and frustrations.
