Kom op tegen Kanker is a non-governmental organisation defending the right of patients to the best possible treatment and care as well as the right of people to a healthy living environment. ‘Kom op tegen Kanker’ does not fight this battle on its own but jointly with many others persons and organisations. Together, they fight for less cancer, better cures and a better quality of life for people who suffer or suffered from cancer and their close relatives.

‘Countering Cancer’, a ‘Kom op tegen Kanker’ initiative for young people organises a free holiday week at the coast for (former) cancer patients between the age of 17 and 30. Five days away from the hospital or from home may be a welcome break. During this holiday week, these patients have the opportunity to meet peers who are in the same boat. No compulsory talks about cancer but cool activities. To finance this wonderful initiative, ‘Kom op tegen Kanker’ counts on gifts.
