Rutland Foodbank support - Extra food parcels & other vital needs for local residents

Proposed by James Burns

Alpro Product Donation

Formed in 2013 the Foodbank now supports many clients in need and suffering economic hardship in and around the Rutland area with food parcels, non-alcoholic drink and non-food items e.g. nappies and baby supplies. Rutland Foodbank has played an increasingly important role supporting local families during the Covid Pandemic, as the ever worsening conditions created economic hardship through furlough and redundancies. Staffed entirely by volunteers and relying on donations, the Foodbank is at the centre of the local community. With a gloomy economic outlook for 2021 and the associated impact on families from redundancy and recession, the Foodbank is welcoming any support to be able to keep providing food and vital resources to those who struggle.
