Sportaround aims to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy sports, but mainly targets children who don’t have the means to participate in Ghent’s regular sports offer. They hope to promote social cohesion by making sports available, and by doing so, also improve the quality of life and safety in certain neighbourhoods. To make sure everyone is able to participate, their sports activities are offered as cheaply as possible or for free. For the summer holidays, Sportaround is organising another 'seaside camp' in De Panne. It’s a unique experience for underprivileged children that can’t go through without additional financial support.
