De Witte Mol provides care, respite and guidance to people with severe and multiple or moderate to severe learning disabilities, or Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). The organisation offers both children and adults a comprehensive and varied range of tailor-made care.
As we all know, a pleasant bike ride means fresh air and fun. This is why De Witte Mol’s aim is ‘cycling fun for everyone’. This requires adapted bicycles with pedal support to which wheelchairs can be attached, or bicycles which service users can use to ride together with their companions. On these pedal-assisted bicycles they can attach a wheelchair, for example ('veloplus' or a wheelchair bicycle) or cycle our care users together with a companion ('fun 2 go' or duo bicycle). With the support of the Fund, they can invest in these kind of bikes. Our impact here is giving the possibility to these people to also enjoy nature or to go outside.
