Give Future: Support 2 TADA classes

Proposed by Anouck De Schrijver

2800 euro

ToekomstAtelierDelAvenir (TADA) is a weekend school where over 800 young people from socially vulnerable backgrounds take part in interactive workshops led by passionate volunteer professionals. Once young people have completed the three-year weekend school course, they become members of the TADA alumni network (> 1500 young people) where they have access to a workplace, a mentoring system and a whole range of activities.

With this project, Danone supports two Saturday courses for 56 young people. TADA's Saturday classes are interactive workshops for young people from socially vulnerable backgrounds. Volunteer professionals run a variety of workshops, from science experiments to creative activities, to give young people new perspectives and boost their self-confidence. The day begins with a joint opening, followed by workshops and a lunch break, and ends with an evaluation.

800 young people following the 3-year curriculum at the TADA weekend school, with a 26% reduction in educational backwardness and a dropout rate three times lower than that of a similar target group (dropout rate of 30% among young people from socio-economically vulnerable backgrounds).
